Arrival Thru Saturday Night

Friday night arrived, had an hour drive up the mountain to the pastor's house. He informed us that he didn't know there were going to be so many of us, or even that we were going to stay there. So we stayed at his house Friday night, and we woke with the sun Saturday morning to Ancella informing us she had found a nice hotel close by to stay at for the week. I think she stayed up all night, we're extremely grateful for her.
Saturday we saw the church, a beautiful mountaintop building where you see mountains on one side and the ocean in the distance on the other. We then had KFC, recommended by Ancella, for lunch. It was just as good as it is at home. After lunch, we stopped at a grocery store to pick up food for Sunday and Monday's lunch. There is no refrigerator for us on the mountain so we went with what would keep over 2 days. Looking forward to sardines and crackers. Saturday night we checked in at the hotel, very nice with running water and showers. Dennis has set up a water filter in Joyce and Jeannette's room so we have enough drinking water for everyone. After we checked in and got settled, we ate at Farm Village, a restaurant down the road from the hotel. It was very good. I went with the jerk chicken. I hope we go back so I can get the exact same thing. After dinner, we met back in Joyce's room for an evening devotion. Sunday morning we are heading to church. The service starts at 11am so we'll have plenty of time for breakfast, showers, and devotions before we head up the mountain.
